Acqualagna, il tartufo, i sapori delle Marche

La famiglia Martelloni è di Acqualagna, terra che ha origine dall’antica “Aquae laniae”, ovvero acqua del macello, in riferimento alla terribile battaglia avvenuta alla Gola del Furlo, in cui il goto Totila fu sconfitto dal bizantino Narsete. In epoca romana prese il nome di di Pitinum Mergens, successivamente il nome divenne Acquebattaglia, fino ad arrivare all’odierno Acqulagna. Oggi è un centro agricolo e commerciale di circa 4.000 abitanti, un paese dall’aspetto moderno e uno dei maggiori centri in Italia per il commercio dei tartufi con una commercializzazione di circa 2/3 della produzione nazionale.
